National Residential Asbestos Heatmap – Roadshows
In collaboration with Tetra Tech Coffey, the first ever National Residential Asbestos Heatmap was developed by predictive modelling and maps the probability of asbestos presence by geographic area. This world-first achievement, using the power of artificial intelligence technology, can help to transform residential asbestos management.
With the first version of the heatmap now complete, ASEA and Tetra Tech Coffey have started providing in-person demonstration and training to state and territory government representatives responsible for implementing the Asbestos National Strategic Plan.
We met with government officials in the Northern Territory, Victoria, Western Australia, Queensland, New South Wales and South Australia, and showed them how the heatmap can be used to inform residential asbestos policy and strategic planning.
We look forward to bringing the roadshows to Tasmania, and the ACT in the coming weeks.
