The ACT Government commissioned the National Centre for Epidemiology and Population Health (NCEPH) at the Australian National University (ANU) to undertake a two-year study to improve understanding of the health risks associated with Mr Fluffy loose fill asbestos insulation. The purpose of the study was to gain an additional understanding of the risk of developing mesothelioma from living in a house containing loose fill asbestos insulation.

Asbestos Safety and Eradication Agency Portfolio Budget Statement 2016-17.

This safety alert provides information regarding possible asbestos in front and rear brake shoes and some spare parts imported which were sold to consumers for the Yamaha YFM90R (RAPTOR) children’s quad bike.

This video highlights the hidden dangers of asbestos and why plumbers and electricians are especially at risk. It explains where asbestos is commonly found and stresses the importance of stopping work and speaking up if asbestos is suspected.
