Stakeholder Engagement Plan
Objective 2 of the ASSEA Operational Plan 2025–26 is to create targeted engagement opportunities to enhance the impact of the National Strategic Plans. This Stakeholder Engagement Strategy 2025–26 outlines how we will achieve this objective, ensuring the capabilities and insight we gain, and the networks we reach drive positive and sustainable change in asbestos and silica related health outcomes for Australians.
Portfolio Budget Statements
On Tuesday 25 March 2025, the Treasurer, the Hon Dr Jim Chalmers MP, handed down the Australian Government’s 2025–26 Budget.
ASSEA’s budget is contained within the Department of Employment and Workplace Relations Portfolio Budget Statements for 2025–26.

Legal Services Expenditure
In accordance with the Legal Service Directions 2017, we report annually on legal services purchasing and make records of legal services expenditure publicly available.
During the 2023-24 financial year expenditure on legal services amounted to $1,708.00.
Organisational Emission Reduction plan
Gifts and Benefits Register
The agency publishes gifts and benefits accepted quarterly for the proceeding period in accordance with the guidance provided by the Australian Public Service Commission.
The Australian Public Service Commissioner requires agencies to report and publish quarterly regarding the gifts and benefits that they receive (where the value of the gift or benefit is greater than $100 including GST.
The following were received by the Chief Executive Officer and staff members acting in the course of their duties as employees of the agency.
Generally, gifts of food or consumables are offered to share amongst agency staff.
