Our Research Strategy has two main aspects. One is discovery, or the creation of new data through research. The other is insight, which is the review and analysis of existing data to inform new findings. Together, these strategies help us to fill knowledge gaps, inform policy, and guide practical interventions.
The Silica Awareness Survey is the first of an annual piece of research, aligned with the Silica National Strategic Plan (SNSP), and designed to understand how Australians perceive and respond to the risks of respirable crystalline silica exposure.
The GP Awareness Survey focuses on understanding general practitioners’ awareness of silica-related health risks and their role in early detection and patient education
ASSEA is conducting an review of the potential adverse effects to human health posed by exposure to silica nanoparticles.
The aim of this research is to improve product labelling of products containing respirable crystalline silica, to raise awareness of consumers to the risks posed by these products, and awareness of steps to mitigate those risks.
The aim of this project is to identify gaps and priority areas for research into silica-related diseases.
