The aim of this project is to identify gaps and priority areas for research into silica-related diseases.
Australia has a long history of impactful health and medical research. The re-emergence of silica related diseases (SRDs) highlights the need for ongoing efforts to prevent, and treat SRDs. ASSEA is reviewing, across the last 100 years, what research has been done on the treatment and prevention of SRDs in Australia and internationally.
The aim of this project is to identify gaps and priority areas for research into silica-related diseases, and where funding may be necessary, and what opportunities Australian researchers can take to make impactful contributions to prevention and treatments.
