Safe Work Australia

Safe Work Australia

Safe Work Australia (SWA) develops national policy relating to workplace health and safety (WHS) and workers’ compensation. SWA does not regulate or enforce WHS laws.

All workers, regardless of their occupation or how they are employed, have the right to a healthy and safe working environment.

Australian Border Force

The Australian Border Force (ABF) monitors Australian borders to prevent dangerous goods from entering Australia.

The Australian Government prohibits the import and export of certain goods to and from Australia. This includes both asbestos and engineered stone, and any products containing them.

You are responsible for ensuring your goods are allowed to be imported or exported, and for ensuring they meet the relevant requirements under Australian law.

Asbestos and Hazardous Chemicals Exposure Scheme | About | Defence

The Defence Asbestos and Hazardous Chemicals Exposure Scheme (DAHCES) provides access to health assessment services for anyone exposed to asbestos or other hazardous chemicals during a Defence activity or undertaking.

The scheme provides access to a health assessment for exposure to asbestos and heavy metals including beryllium, cadmium and lead.

TIACS provides professional mental health counselling to Australia’s blue collar community. TIACS also provides counselling services to anyone who is a carer, friend or loved one of a blue-collar worker who is doing it tough.

TIACS removes the physical and financial barriers to accessing help through a simple text and call service direct to professional counsellors.
