What’s this consultation about?
The Asbestos National Strategic Plan provides a long-term phased approach to eliminate asbestos-related diseases in Australia. Phase one of the plan covered 2014–2018, and we are now in the second phase which will end in 2023. Phase three will focus on safe and sustainable ways to remove asbestos containing materials from our built environment.
The Asbestos Safety and Eradication Agency has prepared a draft of the next Asbestos National Strategic Plan for consultation and invites your input, to ensure the ultimate aim of eliminating asbestos-related disease in Australia can be achieved.
We have also developed a Consultation Guide to assist you with providing feedback.
