ASEA has conducted the research every two years since 2014 to track shifts in community awareness about the risks of asbestos. It measures responses from the general public, tradespeople, DIY home renovators, and real estate agents. 

As a Commonwealth Entity, the Asbestos Safety and Eradication Agency is required to provide an annual update on the remuneration paid to the executives in the Department. Details for the 2016-17 reporting period are outlined in the Table(s) below.

Dr Andy Goodall's study explores how local governments across Australia are currently contributing to residential asbestos safety. Improving how asbestos-related information is presented online will make it easier for residents to access reliable guidance.

Daniel Anderson from Cumberland Council shares how their free asbestos collection service is helping residents safely remove legacy asbestos from their homes. With over 655 households supported since 2013, the initiative aims to reduce exposure and prevent asbestos-related diseases.
