ADSS – Asbestos Disease Support Society
ADSS provides a range of services to members, including advice on asbestos-related issues, telephone support, morning teas, and support groups in local communities.
The Society also assists with referrals to experienced legal professionals and maintains a register of asbestos exposure.
To access these services, membership is required. A small annual fee applies.

Asbestos Diseases Foundation of Australia (ADFA)
The Asbestos Diseases Foundation of Australia (ADFA) is a not-for profit organisation working to provide support to people living with asbestos related diseases, family members, carers and friends.
ADFA is a community-based group founded by Trade Unions, victims and their families, and concerned citizens to help people affected by asbestos related disease, and has a long history of advocacy in the community.

AMAA - Asbestosis and Mesothelioma Association of Australia
The Asbestosis and Mesothelioma Association of Australia (AMAA) is a dedicated not-for-profit organisation supporting those affected by asbestos and silica.
They provide access to specialised health professionals, legal assistance, and peer support groups.
The AMAA supports and educates individuals affected by asbestos and silica across Australia, with remote support Australia-wide and face-to-face services in South-East Queensland.
Biaggio Signorelli Foundation
The Biaggio Signorelli Foundation donates funds to support research into asbestos related diseases and to assist medical practitioners wanting to improve their knowledge and skills relating to asbestos related diseases.

The Asbestos and Dust Diseases Research Institute (ADDRI) works with individuals and organisations dedicated to eradicating asbestos and dust-related diseases, and also provides support to those affected by them.
ADDRI has a dedicated team of specialist nurses who can provide you with up to date clinical information, referrals and counselling via phone, email and peer support groups.

ADSSA is a community-based charity which provides information, education, advocacy and support to those in contact with asbestos in the environment, home or workplace, and support to those suffering from an asbestos-related disease in South Australia.
Asbestos Victims Association South Australia
Asbestos Victims Association South Australia (AVA)
AVA Volunteers offer counselling and support for people diagnosed with asbestos and dust diseases. They can be a sounding board for the many questions or situations that are part of the challenges that come with a diagnosis.
AVA runs free information sessions and awareness workshops to help support the South Australian community in dealing with asbestos.
Asbestos Compensation Scheme
Tasmania’s asbestos compensation scheme provides compensation to workers who develop an asbestos-related disease as a result of exposure to asbestos during the course of work in Tasmania and to family members of workers who have died from asbestos related disease.
This compensation scheme is run through WorkSafe Tasmania.

Asbestos Council of Victoria (ACV/GARDS)
ACV/GARDS supports asbestos disease sufferers in Gippsland and throughout Victoria. They are the largest asbestos support and advocacy group in Victoria.
ACV/VGARDS offers access to counselling, asbestos information, and support groups. They have a range of medical equipment and run training sessions on asbestos safety.
